First isolate the plant so the issue does not spread to other plants. You can try rinsing the plant with a solution of dishsoap and water to remove worms from the plant. Immerse the pot in cold water, which may cause earthworms and others to leave. Then, repot the plant in fresh soil after removing any existing worms from the root ball. Be sure to thoroughly clean the pot and soak it in bleach water.
If the worms look like they are in a bag--kind of a web--then, you have to gather them into a plastic bag (spray the inside with pesticide), seal and toss it into the garbage. If you don't know what kind of worms they are, capture a couple in a jar and take to a local nursery. They should be able to tell you the best fix for the situation.

Worms are very important to us. This is because, worms chew up soil. They then spit it out and when they have done this, it acts as a fertilizer to the trees and other plants. Trees let out oxygen, which us humans breath in. If there were no worms, the trees and plants would not be healthy and we would not have trees to give us oxygen. So when you see a worm, don't kill it, put it in the soil so that they can fertilize our trees!
