Just click on whatever option you used to bring up the dialog box before it disappeared. The dialog box may still be open, but has lost focus. When you open it again, you really do not open a new box, you just are able to see the box that already is open. Most open windows show up on the bar at the bottom of your Windows screen, but many dialog boxes are not programmed to indicate that they are open.
