I presume you mean the head of the bolt is stripped. Try some vice grips or a pipe wrench, or use a grinder to put a flat spot on each side of it. There are also some special sockets you can buy that are made to grip anything. I am told they work rather well.

How can you removed the drain plug from the oil pan when the oil pan tread is stripped?

You will have to remove the pan completely by undoing all the bolts and then once the oil pan (sump cover) is removed, it is a simple matter to remove the plug, retap/rethread the hole and replace the plug with a new one.

Can a car be driven with MotoMaster Formula 1 engine flush added to the engine oil then found the oil pan drain plug is stripped and can't remove it. Suggestions?

You can suck the oil out of the engine by going down through the dipstick tube and changing the filter or you will have to get the drain plug out and have the oil pan repaired. You can purchase a drain plug that will work where one is stripped out. Go to any auto parts store and explain the situation.

Which way do I turn the oil plug in order to drain the oil in a 2006 dodge charger because my plug on my freshly bought car is stripped and is it easy to get a new one if it becomes stripped?

The plug unscrews by turning it counter-clockwise. Take the stripped plug to a good auto parts store. There are oversized, self-tapping plugs available, but they will need to match yours up to the correct replacement.

How to Repair stripped oil drain plug on 2003 Cadillac CTS?

Is it just the oil plug that's stripped or is it the oil pan? If it's only the plug, get a new one from the dealer or a local part store (they are quite cheap). If it's your oil pan, then that's a pain. You'll probably have to put in a self tapping oversized plug or replace the oil pan. I would stay away from those cheap rubber oil plug replacement kits that fit in with a plastic screwdriver.

What do you do if you stripped an oil plug?

This seems to be a problem with aluminum oil pans. I just did it today and found an answer with an oversized self-tapping oil plug. Found one at my auto parts store for $2.99.

Oil pan drain plug leaking on 2001 Cherokee?

Probably just the gasket on the plug (if it's tight). Make sure the plug isn't stripped.
