How do Young Earth Christians account for such a small genetic base acting for such a relatively short time resulting in the diversity of people if Noah and his followers repopulated earth postflood? |

- By believing the Bible and using good spiritual common sense. For instance, when Israel and his sons sent down into Egypt, they remained there for several generations. When the Israelites went out of Egypt they had increased from 72+ souls to 600,000 that could bear arms as men of war. Estimates put the total Israelites, with women and children and old men in the neighborhood of one and one-half to over two millions souls. This is entirely credible considering God blessed these people in health and survival. Now consider the innumerable generations since Adam and Eve. It staggers the mind. It was once estimated by a mathematician that had man been on earth as long as science claims, even with minimal population increase, mankind would be so crowded together that standing upon each other's heads people would reach out past the moon. There is a science of man, and the scripture states there is a science of God, and to not be fooled by the so called science of man.
- They don't because they don't understand the problem. Young Earth Creationists are generally unaware that too many alleles exist in the human gene pool to exist in one genome.
