Actually CFCs (Chlorofluorocarbons) don't do much to cause global warming. CFCs destroy ozone, and may cause problems concerning the UV rays coming through the atmosphere. Global warming has to do with carbon dioxide levels and temperature.

∙ 12y agoChlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) were used in refrigeration and caused damage to the ozone layer. Since the Montreal Protocol they have been phased out and the ozone layer is slowly recovering. The ozone layer has little to do with global warming.
CFCs make up a small part of the greenhouse gases. Others, mainly carbon dioxide and methane are more important and are more responsible for the greenhouse effect.
The greenhouse effect is caused by the increase in greenhouse gases, like carbon dioxide and methane in the atmosphere which prevent some of the sun's heat from radiation back into space.
