etc. This may seem primitive, but they don't have to spend so much of their
energy bank on keeping a constant temperature. Much of the food we eat is
burned to maintain our body heat. There are tradeoffs in both lifestyles.

∙ 14y agoThey move/stand together as a big group and then the group shifts. The ones on the inside slowly move outward and the outward ones go in. The "huddle" manages to keep them alive. Some do die because of age or sickness, but for the most part this works.
