Semiconductors are mined by poor people in back country areas where food is not available, but Gorillas for instance are, these animals are killed to be eaten while the materials needed to produce our computers is being acquired. Regardless of what the company's say regarding recycling the truth is that only a small proportion of these devices are disposed of responsibly.

∙ 13y agoComputers hurt the environment because they have materials that harm the environment. Like lead, Mercury, and cadmium. But staring at a computer screen too long will not harm your eyes! Some computers that have "fossil fuel" can hurt the environment because when burned in your computer, it can create Carbon Dioxide into the air, and reduces the amount we have also.
