Orcas mostly hunt in packs. With a *thought* bite force of 19,000 psi - which is 8,355 kilograms or 8.3 tons. They usually find a stealthy way to get to them and bite hard on them. They also like to hold the prey till it bleeds to death. They also use bait sometimes if they have bait. They are dominant and superior to many ocean animals including all types of sharks which fear them. People believe they are whales which mostly comes from the name: ”killer whale“. But actually it is a type of dolphin. And they aren't given the name of a killer whale for no reason. They are at the top of the food chain in the ocean and a very fearless apex predator and hunter.

Orcas are the largest species of dolphin, also known as the killer whale. It also hunts in a pod, smaller dolphin species wouldn't stand a chance, even if they were in a large group (pod). A dolphins natural defense would be to take flight, using its speed and agility.

Are dolphins predators to great white sharks?

No. Dolphins are much smaller and cannot attack or kill Great Whites. Adult Great Whites are apex predators. Apart from the Orca (Killer Whale), there are no known predators that may attack or kill a Great White. In regions where both the Orca and the Great whites inhabit and compete for food, Orcas may attack and kill these sharks. Since Orca's are much larger than them, they can attack and even kill great whites.
