How do employers react to you having been terminated from a 5 year previous job because of a failed drug test?

Answer:
%FOLLOWUPS%

Answer

As an employer I would not hire a person who was terminated for failing a drug test unless they owned up to having and correcting a problem with drugs. I would also really need that persons skills badly or I would move on to a candidate without a drug abuse history.

Answer

It looks better to not take a drug test and get fired, versus taking a drug test and failing. There are companies that will hire people who have failed drug test. This is AMERICA... it does however look better if you actually don't take the test. That information came from a article written by a guy helping people get jobs after layoffs, drug tests, various other things.
