There is a long threaded bolt, a nut tightens against a round plate that press's against
the bottom of sink, remove nut, remove plate,remove water and sprayer(if it has one) lines, squeeze copper lines together so they fit back up through hole in sink. Also look
the new one you get .
Change the faucet, either one will mount on the sink.
No conversion, it would need to be replaced with a single handle faucet.
