They try to protect themselves by spitting out this kind of red liquid. It does nothing, but it smells BAD!
They bite! Once one of 'em bit my uncle and left teeth marks! LOL!

Grasshoppers potect itself by the color of their body. Most of the grasshoppers are the same color as the grass. If they do not move, they won't be seen.
