∙ 16y agoFirst, you will have to loosen the inside door panel, and just move it slightly out of the way.
You will find a Phillips-head screw (which is normally just beneath the door panel) that holds the corner trim piece on the inside of the mirror, and then remove it.
Behind that trim piece, you will find three Torx screws that actually hold the mirror in place, which you will have to loosen in order to remove the mirror.
You may want to get a set of 1997-2001 mirrors from a junkyard, as they are larger in size (you can see behind you better), are more aerodynamic, look better and are perfectly interchangeable.
If you have power windows/door locks, but don't have the power mirror option, there is a possibility that the doors are also wired for power mirrors as well.

∙ 16y agoYou can look up the parts you need and check with a dealer. Or you can go to a salvage yard. However, your best deal may be to remove it entirely and replace it with one you would buy at a local retailer. Be sure to get the same size or larger mirror.
