With respect I'd add to that by explaining that water is always naturally recycled irrespective of what we do with it. What matters is that we don't return polluted water to the ground, rivers or its own ultimate store, the sea. Even the water we send up into the air as steam comes back eventually. Water is one thing this planet as a whole has in abundance (if unfairly distributed) and will never lose - well, not on any human-history scale.
