Putting aside all the crap about, He comes from this famous fighter, or that one, ect. Which usually is a bunch of crap, designed by a person who should not even have the dog, trying to build up a higher price for their puppy mill, or gain attention for themselves. Aside from that, I would have to say that you would have to be dealing with "papered" dogs, and rely on the AKC, or UKC. I wouldn't trust anyone else. I have owned 7, now, and have not "papered" or otherwise a single one of them. But, I do not show them, either. Aside from that, I cannot see any other reason to be concerned about the blood line, anyway......Chuck.

You don't. If youd don't have papers indication the bloodline or the person that sold the dog can't tell you, then you can't know the family tree of the dog. The only important thing is that you got a real pitbull.
