Jupiter is not known to have any land masses (it is a gas giant planet), that is why the wind bests are so marked.

the prevailing winds affect the climate because when the wind kicks up it takes moisture into the atmosphere.
It affects the amount of precipitation that a region recieves.
due to the fact that prevailing winds move in any direction and are unpredictable they can affect climate
it changes the temperature

how?

in what ways?
One example of the effect Prevailing Winds can have on a climate is along the west coast of the Cascade Range.

In the state of Washington, prevailing winds coming off of the Pacific Ocean get caught by the west slopes of the Olympic Mountains which create a Orographic Lift of the air masses. This causes the windward side of the mountains to receive copious amounts of precipitation and the opposite side to receive little to no rain. This makes the west slopes of the Cascade Mountain range to be one of the wettest places in North America while the east slopes remain semi-arid.

Prevailing Winds can also regulate the temperature of a climate. This is why cities closer the the ocean tend to have cooler summers and warmer winters due to prevailing winds and how water absorbs heat from sunlight better than the land.
They blow the wind eastward and whenever the winds hits the ocean the ocean cools down and erosion happens.

land and sea breeze.

when there is high pressure over an area the wind rises and air comes and fills the so called vacuum created.since the winds blow from a region of high pressure to low pressure...

u can continue i don't have the time to write the entire thing..!!

Prevailing winds bring air from one type of climate to another. For example, warm winds that travel over water tend to collect moisture as they travel; the water vapor in the air will condense as it moves into colder climates, which is why temperate coastal areas often receive heavy rainfall.
