You can record gameplay on your Xbox/Ps3 by purchasing a Capture Card or PVR. These devices can cost between $60-300. The process of recording gameplay is more complicated than most people realize. After you purchase a Capture Card (I myself use a HD dazzle) you must install software that can operate it. You also need editing software for effects and uploading videos to the web (i.e Youtube.com) There are video tutorials on the web with instructions on how to setup capture cards and how to properly use them.

If you are on a PC the process is much simpler. Install a program like FRAPS and you can record directly off your screen. You still need editing software to upload to the web.
