Shy guys (many of them and cute as can be) are evasive. They usually will take peeks at the girl and if she should catch him he'll usually go red in the face or look like he's been struck by a cattle prod. Love is so, so painful! LOL He may try getting close to you, but not quite close enough. He may ask friends about you. He could see you coming toward him and dart into a store or a classroom or walk right by you with his head down. If you really like him then I'd just ask him out and going to a movie is one of the best things to do because it's more comfortable as one doesn't have to be on a one-to-one and you don't talk usually during a movie. I like my sister's best friend, which is also my best friends sister. I can't talk to her, so I try to get her to talk to me by getting closer to her. If a girl that I like talks to me I'm fine. i just can't make the first move.

I currently like this girl in my class (I'm a bit of a shy guy) and the best way to tell if a shy guy likes you is if he stares at you and then looks away. If you make contact with him, he may sometimes act like he's been shocked if you talk to him, as if he wasn't expecting you to, or you came up to him and he didn't know it's you. Though he is unlikely not to know it's you as he will be paying very close attention to you.

You will often have to approach him because he most likely not have the courage to approach you first.
