Turtles are reptiles for one and they do sleep. One of my turtles sleeps while he is basking. It is funny, when I check on them when I go to bed I will wake up in the morning to find him still asleep...But anyway, they sleep while basking and/or they sleep underwater. I have seen this. I saw the same turtle sleeping underwater and I stood in the corner to watch him come up for air and then fall back asleep, which he did do. Turtles can hold their breath for about five hours and I know for a fact that they come up for air.
wherever they want because they are awesome.
Normally rattlesnakes seek out sheltered areas, such as beneath logs, in thickets, or under lips of rocky outcroppings.
Shady and quiet places where no one can bother them. They only come out to hunt for food and couldn't care less about humans.

Snakes sleep outside when they live in the wild. They will either find holes in the ground to live in, or hide out under rocks or logs.
not all of them they all have different sleeping habits. not two snakes are alike.
