How do you Remove ThinkPoint Virus?
Answer:
If you've been lucky enough to get some spy-ware and cant get access to it ill paraphrase/ copy-and-paste:
1. Restart your computer and before it launches Windows, start tapping '''"F8"''' key. Highlight '''"Safe Mode with Networking"''' with arrow keys and press '''ENTER'''.
2.''' Press '''CTRL+SHIFT+ESC''' to start Task Manager. Check for the processes of Think-Point and stop them.
3.''' Open '''Internet Explorer''', choose '''Tools''' menu and select '''Internet Options'''.
4. Click on the '''Connections''' tab and then on the '''LAN Settings''' button. Uncheck the checkbox labeled '''Use a proxy server for your LAN''' under the Proxy Server section and press '''OK'''.
5. Download[http://www.2-viruses.com/spdoc.exe Spyware Doctor] and run a full system scan. Delete files identified as infected.
i had think-point and i downloaded a trial of nod32, and like i said above if you do have spy-ware get spy-bot Search & Destroy, its an anti-spyware, and scan with both nod32 and S&D and then immunize with S&D and you should be cool. i hope you can access all of this if not because of spyware, you should try for S&D first. i think you should be able to access S&D with a normal anti-virus search spyware running
oh and a big plus this is all free and a cool diy project.

Alternate removal procedure:
1. Restart your computer. Once the ThinkPoint window comes press Ctrl+Alt+Delete or Ctrl+Shift+Escape. You should now see the Windows Task Manager screen as shown in the image below or a screen where you can select the Task Manager to be run.
Click on the Processes tab. Then click and highlight hotfix.exe and click End Task. If it asks you "Are you sure you want to terminate the process?" click yes. This will close the ThinkPoint program.
2. While in Windows Task Manager, click the File -> "New Task (Run...)" from the menu on the bottom right. Type in explorer.exe and click OK. Your desktop and icons should start up as normal.
3. Run Internet Explorer or any other browser and download free anti-malware software.
5. Download
