It is also EXTREMELY important to use a reverse rotation rear main seal and to change the thrust face of the pistons (Turn them around 180 degrees on the con. rods. The starter must be changed as well, and sometimes water pumps are unidirectional. It is a fairly involved procedure. One more thing: If you are doing this for a marine operation, you shoulfd also use MARINE use head gaskets as they are made to not corrode. there is a company on E bay that sells complete kits for rebuilding motors and changing their direction.
