If you are getting issue with PC and net is working fine on your mobile then solution is very easy as below:
I have tested for Android, don't know about other Samsung phones(simple ones). Also the data connection should be active in your phone then only this solution works (means you should be able to use internet in your mobile)
1) Connect the mobile to PC with USB
2) Goto Mobile Settings
3) Goto Wireless and Networks
4) Goto Tethering and portable hotspot
5) Select USB Tethering
6) Done If Internet was working on your mobile and is working then on your PC same will start working w/o any Dial Up or anything..
