Gay men have taken to accepting certain behaviors in women and then exaggerating them to almost theatrical proportions; hip swaying, wild gesticulation, facial expressions and general interpersonal mannerisms that have long been held as being "effeminate"
I would also like to state that this is a gross overgeneralization of the whole. I for example, am a gay man who strives to be just that...a gay MAN. (see bear)
Also women look people in the eye, smile alot and generally pay attention to their environment more often than men. And some generalizations are true. The biggest thing a person can do is to reduce their prominence and volume: society still thinks deference = submission = female. Use it to your advantage.
