How do you activate a grenade?

"All you have to do is pull a safety pin, press usually a button, and it will usually blow up in around 5 seconds for the typical grenade after pressing the button."

Come on really? a button? I don't mean to knock this persons video game knowledge but in real life with real grenades you have to do more then press a button. Next time let the big boys answer the question. Also some grenades have a 5 second timer and some have a 3 second. ("usually" haha no for real)

First of all this is all for educational/zombie Apocalypse reasons right. Not cuz somebody found one in Daddy's room and wants to see what happens to the neighbors dog.


1) Grip grenade firmly if in right hand, pin and safety lever are facing to the left (for EZ access with your left hand..) Make sure while holding the grenade you are holding down the safety lever because as soon as that flys off the timer starts.

2) Thumb the clip. there is a retaining clip that goes over the safety lever it comes off sideways use your left thumb and pop it off.

3) Twist Pull Pin (the ring) its harder then you think so don't use your teeth :)

4) now throw like hell and hit the deck because little pieces of shrapnel will be flying towards your face. as well as the enemy's face.
