By curb appeal, I assume you mean what can you do to make the house more attractive from the outside. You should attend to the exterior of the home (painting, roofing, siding, driveway) and the landscape that surrounds it. If you mean inside the home too, the same applies. You need to attend to the carpet (may need to shampoo or replace), paint walls (realtors know what colors are best, but usually neutral colors), place scented candles throughout with scents like 'apple cinnamon' or 'vanilla' to invoke warm cozy feelings in prospective buyers. Just make everything look "fresh", new, clean and well kept. Often it's just a matter of keeping the windows clean, lawn mowed an trees trimmed. If the landscaping isn't the best, put in some bushes or trees, maybe some compost around plants and some colorful flowers. It isn't expensive, it just takes a little time to make it look good. Curb appeal is an emotional response. Once they get closer it should look like it doesn't need any maintenance to keep it looking that way.
