Fairly simple, with a little know-how. 1) Park on level ground, facing a wall or garage door with a horizontal reference. 2) Turn ignition to ACC, then turn headlights on. Open the hood. Note beam placement on wall. Determine which headlight needs adjustment. 3) Locate rear of headlight assembly. You are looking for the adjuster screws. On each headlight, there is a black plastic cover the size of a quarter above and to the inside of the lamp (2 o'clock on drivers', 11 o'clock on passengers'). Under this cover you'll find a silver metal screw, notched like a gear, with an 8mm head. Below and to the outside of the lamp (7 o'clock drivers', 5 o'clock passengers') there is an exposed screw identical to the upper one. 4) The upper, inside screw controls lateral (side-to-side) adjustments, usually unnecessary unless you're really cross-eyed. 5) The lower, outside screw controls the vertical (up-down) adjustments. Use an 8mm socket to turn this screw. Clock-wise will lower the beam. Make small adjustments, and check the beam's placement on the wall. When it is level with the other beam, close the hood, turn off the lights, and then start the ignition and drive around the block. If you're still signaling the International Space Station, repeat steps 1-5. Note: The driver's side adjustment is easily accessible, but you'll want a short socket due to the small amount of space between the light and the battery. The passenger side is more cramped; I unbolted the washer fluid reservoir with a 10mm socket and moved it enough to access the adjustment screw more easily.
