How do you adjust headlights on a Mercedes ml320?

Directly under the headlight there is a strip the same color of the vehicle. The strip is the same length of the bottom of the headlight and wraps around the corner light too. OK..."That strip comes out and once it's out......the adjustments are underneath the headlight and on the side also............Sincerely, Dat Dude
