The same way you adjust regular non roller tipped rockers. With a hydraulic camshaft, with the valve completely closed, tighten until all the slack is removed (you can spin the pushrod while tightening, you will be able to feel when the slack is gone) then tighten another 1/4 turn. Many people will tell you a 1/2 turn, but I've found than many aftermarket lifters will actually become overtightened at 1/2 turn, and 1/4 turn is plenty tight. For a solid lifter cam, do the same thing except use a feeler gauge and tighten to the cam specification. If you don't know the specs, .026 will usually work just fine although it might be on the loose side for many aftermarket cams. Most Comp cams call for .022 lash.
From #1 TDC you can adjust 1,2,5&7 intakes and 1,3,4&8 exhausts. Rotate the engine one revolution for #6TDC and do the rest.

Take off one of the valve covers, if the rocker has a roller tip on the side which it touches the valve spring then its a roller, if no roller tip is present then its a normal tappet rocker.
