Unless you have a lot of money to waste on this car, do the smart thing and get it to a professional mechanic who will use a tune up computer to test it and then set it right, so it runs clean and with proper power and gas economy.

If you mess with it, you won't get it right and possibly make it worse than it is now, and then you STILL have to get it fixed properly by a pro. Do the smart thing and take it to the pro first.
