You need to know which satellite you are aiming for. Get it's position information from the web. Should give you the inclination/de-inclination angle (angle above horizon or below straight up) and the axis information (compass degree/angle). Been a long time since I set one so terminology might be off. Once you get it near the correct bearing you should be able to use the built in tools to fine tune the antenna/dish for the strongest signal.
