How do you amend a will?

Answer:

You can amend a will through a document known as a codicil.

This is simply a document in which you make any changes you want to your existing will. You should make it very clear what parts of the will you're referring to, in order to avoid ambiguity. For example, if the paragraphs are numbered, refer to the ones you wish to change by their number.

Also, to be valid, a codicil must meet all the formalities required for the will itself. So, it will have to be signed, and attested by at least 2 witnesses (in most states).
