They're trying to determine your loyalty.
That depends on who was telling you to do the "bad deed" and what the "bad deed" is.
If its a co-worker, you'd decline their request and you'd report them to management.
Just a side note:
If its upper management and what they are telling you to do conflicts with your personal beliefs (for example, you're a vegetarian and your tofu company has decided to sell only meat products), then it would be up to you to put up with it or resign.
Chances are, you're not going to single-handedly change the company or its practices.
