Here's what the resume advice company Resume Edge recommends as a sample answer to the question, "How do you deal with criticism?"
Criticism is vital to my continued growth, and I welcome constructive criticism that helps a team operate better together or produce better results. It is important to me to understand where my critic is coming from so that I know how to apply the feedback.

More input from FAQ Farmers:
- Be honest! Tell them: "Not well. However I am open to constructive critique on my performance. Criticism gives one the impression that one is being personally critiqued and I'm not sure many of us react well to that. However, I want to do the best I can and contribute as much as possible to the effectiveness of my position therefore welcome and embrace any constructive comments and guidance I might have access to."
- No one takes criticism well and it would be a lie to try to suggest you do. Of course, if you do - then say that too. It is best not to try to anticipate what the person might want to hear when they ask these questions. They are to see how well you can respond on your feet. So, relax, be yourself and come from the heart. It will show.
- My reply: "Oh, it depends on the person and how much he or she needs to be criticized. I can be very tactful or pointed if needed."
