My answer is: You should first study on a school wherein they teach on how to assess gold and diamond. Or you must be well verse to all electronic items like laptap, ipod,digicam,cellphone and other valuable items, because these are the possible items to be pawned by the pawners in a pawnshop. It would be useless to be a pawnbroker without having knowledge on this things. You might be getting a fake jewelry, or a non working appliance, etc. and turned out to be loss to your business. Then find for a suitable place of a pawnshop business like busy area, a commercial area,in mall or near the market place.
Here in our country which is the Philippines, The Bangko Central ng Pilipinas (BSP) regulates and supervises all pawnshops. So if you are to engage in the pawnshop business, you are to register (apply) in their office. Without registering or approval of the BSP means you are running your pawnshop business illegally. And so you are now to comply with all the BSP rules and regulations.
