There are two ways.

If you know her and talk to her a lot, then just pluck p the courage and do it.
If you don't know her very well, then write her a letter starting with "I know you don't know me very well, and and I don't know you, so maybe it seems a little strange to get a letter from me, but the truth is, I was kinda scared to talk to you" and from there be shy and kinda sensitive but don't be too wimpy.
