i'm going to assume you are looking to master some sort of artistic medium. it seems you're not asking what a virtuoso is, but rather how to go about becoming one yourself. well, my advice to you no matter what type of art you are looking to master would be to go about it on your own terms. find out what you have a taste for. explore and take in all the art and entertainment you can find: art, music, films....everything. keep an open mind to different cultures and perspectives. go outside and meet different kinds of people, explore new places, go on walks, and travel, knock on strange doors. don't ignore what's obscured or hidden in the corners. don't be overwhelmed by the past - explore history. do not ignore the masters who lived b4 you. all of this will help you identify with yourself and refine your personal taste and style as an artist - whether you're looking to succeed in music or film or painting or whatever art you are looking to master. just be true to your most passionate desires and strengths and you can't go wrong as an artist. whether you are labeled a 'virtuoso' or not in the future, you will do better for yourself. if you can keep an open-mind, while at the same time staying true to your wants and needs and passions, you can't go wrong.
