For blanching asparagus, you can use the whole spears or cut into pieces. Using a saucepan large enough for your asparagus, bring enough water to cover the asparagus to a rolling boil. While waiting for your water to boil, prepare a large enough bowl of ice water. Simply use enough tap water to cover the asparagus when you're ready and add plenty of ice to keep it cold until your water is boiling rapidly. Add the asparagus to the boiling water and boil until it turns bright green, about 2 to 5 minutes depending on the size of the asparagus. As soon as the asparagus turns bright green, transfer it from the boiling water into the ice water. You are now ready to use your asparagus as planned, whether it is for freezing, serving, or using in a recipe.

First you need to put the lettuce leaf under warm tap water. Then scrub it thoughrely with vinegar. After that you must stick it in a freezer and wait a few minutes. When the lettuce leaf is well frozen, you need to boil it in chicken soup. The chicken soup must be thrown away as soon as the lettuce leaf is inside because the lettuce leaf contains subatomic particles that destroy the proteins in the soup. You must now carefully place the lettuce leaf in the microwave for 10 minutes, approxametly the time it takes to eat Chinese takeaway.

When you are finished with that, you are done!

To blanch vegetables, they are immersed completely into rapidly boiling water for a brief period of time, which differs depending on the size and type of vegetable. Generally, blanching time is very short, from 30 seconds for small items to five minutes for larger food. The food is then lifted from the boiling water and immediately plunged into very cold (iced) water to stop the cooking process. The vegetables are then patted dry with clean towels, wrapped properly and frozen.
