I was chatting with an Egyptian relative of mine yesterday. He told me a new phenomenon has been sweeping Egypt for the last 6 years. It is called "breeding money" using magic. Now, understand that a lot of people in "those" countries believe in magic, voodoo, sorcelery and other underground forces and influences. Magic was cited in the holy book Qoran and it is widely respected and practiced. Well... having been raised in a Western society that doesn't believe in super-natural phenomenon, I mocked my relative and laughed at his ideas and at his mere suggetsion that you can make money breed using magic. I said: "let's put a 20-Dollar bill with a 5-Dollar bill on the bed, under the bed sheets and let them spend the night". "Will the 5-Dllar bill become pregnant" or "do they need more than one night", I said jokingly. Not to be out-witted, he replied: "you also need to put a Viagra bill with them under the blanket" :) :) Truth be told, I found the subject to be greatly amusing and I could not believe my relative - an otherwise smart and educated person - would take the idea of "money breeding" seriously. Yet... he seemed to be offended I was making fun of the whole idea. Morale of the story.... money trees do exist... at least in Egyptian minds.
