Answer:
Dogs have natural instincts, breeding being one of them. Dogs will know what to do if you put an un-spayed female dog that is in heat with an un-neutered male dog. Dogs are like people and sometimes they don't like their partner so you may need to try a few different partners if your dog is picky. sometimes some dogs just don't like other dogs at all. If the dogs are not showing signs of aggression the male will smell the female dog and attempt to mount her, and sometimes it takes some time for her to accept him and allow the male to mount her. Once the dogs are mating just leave them alone. Don't be alarmed if they seem to be stuck together because that is how they mate. The male might stay "attached" to the female for about a half hour to an hour. When looking to breed your dogs you have to make sure they are not too old. A dog that is seven years old or older is too old to be bred, and 6 months is too young. The appropriate age to breed a dog is about two, three, or four years old. Also please consider that there are thousands of animals put to sleep in animal shelters every day. I always encourage people to get dogs and cats from shelters rather then buying from a breeder because they are saving a life. If you really want to breed dogs then just make sure that you do it responsibly. By this I mean make sure that the animals you are intending to breed are healthy and don't have any problems that could be passed down to the puppies.
