The simplest way to build the snorkel is to take the measurements of the intake hole and buy PVC piping that would match the hole. Also, consider using pipe/hose that is larger in diameter than the stock intake to account for the reduced airflow caused by the resistance of the extra pipe/hose. Then get two pieces of flex pipe to make the joints, one for the intake entry and the other for the exit point.
1. Attach the intake portion to the flex pipe.
2. Use another pike of PVC pipe and route it to the desired are where it will exit.
3. Attach the other flex pipe to the end of the PVC. You can add a filter to the end or a box with wire mesh attached to the end. (I like screen door Mesh).

There is a company that provides a full snorkel system that i seen at an ATV park recently called Top Choice ATV their snorkel was awsome to say the least. The guys who own the company were out in the water for several hours ridding up to the handlebars and beyond almost the whole time with out any problems. I talked to them for a while and they said that they recently started a website to sell their snorkel systems.
