Buiding vocabulary

Vocabulary is the heart of a language.The more vocabulary means more rich in that language.The quistion is how to build a good vocabulary?Based on my experience following are the steps by which one can build a good vocabulary.
1. Reading-A good reader will have a rich vocabulary.
2.Using the new words in our day to-day conversation.By this the vocabulary will becom active.
3.Listening to others,radios, TVs.
4.Practice writing.
(Listening, reading,speaking and writing will help in developing good vocabulary)

Another simple thing that you can do is to look up words that you don't know. Then try to use some of those words in a conversation.
