You just have to build wall around a lot that you buy and you add rooms and then floors and wallpaper and then furniture and stuff. It is really hard to tell just experiment and try.

You have to go into build mode, go to the wall icon and start making your house, then you go to the roof icon and take the cursor thing and bring it to the top of your house and then go across the top and then you can start painting or putting flowers around your house or get a pool or whatever you want
