Burning PS2 Games on an External DVD Burner
From what little knowledge I have on this matter considering I've never done it myself, but know some people who have, this requires a chip that can be purchased in the back of either gaming & or electronics magazines. Not 100% as to whether or not this chip can be just plugged in or needs to be physically soldered into the PS2 console to allow burned PS2 games to actually play on the console. There is however a part 2 to this little conversion, if my memory serves me proper, there's a specific burner program you must use to copy the game to begin with.
Alcohol 120% is the best program for copying PS2 games. It will bypass almost all copywrite protection. If you have a new style ps2 you can use the "Swap Magic" software and not have to solder anything. You can use it with the old type PS2's but you'll need to put a "flip top lid" on it.
