the dealership will say theres now way to do this but there lying, heres wat to do.im not sure if this is how its on a 96 but heres what i had to do to my 99. first remove the cover over the stereo it should pop right off, then remove the stereo by removing the three 7mm bolts that hold it in place. pull the stereo out and set it aside but dont unplug it, now look to the left and you will see three wires in a cheap crappy black cloth tape. remove it and you will see a black, yellow and white wires. if you have any doubts that about the cords look up your wiring system on bulldog security. ok now start the car, with the car running snip the yellow wire and your done just cap off both ends of the wire. now the security light will come on and stay on. the reason this works is because the car sees it as a malfuction instead of a theft because the car was already on. that should do it all you have to do is ignore the security light lol, but she'll start every time now. hope this helps, good luck
