Disabling the parking brake interlock for in-dash DVD players is against the law in many jurisdictions. The interlock is there as a safety feature and should not be adjusted in any way. The interlock is a safety feature to avoid distracting a driver while driving. However in some older vehicles it is necessary to attach the parking brake wire to a switch to ground. The switch is to maintain legality as one cannot watch a movie while driving.
Yea mate, is meant to connect to your handbrake usually but just join it to your earth wire.
Yes, but they are very expensive. (Typical Price can be around $999)
The parking brake interlock on an in car video player is a safety feature to prevent the driver being distracted. It should not be disabled.
Take the pink or green wire and ground it to something metal... same way a parking would work...
What indash DVD player play videos off a thumbdrive

. It all depends on the type of radio. All manufacturers are different. Bypassing a parking brake on a Pioneer radio requires an interface. You can NOT just ground the parking brake wire. The least expensive, smallest, and best quality i have found are on microbypass.com. I am an installer and i use these all the time. The company also sells them on Ebay too.
