Answer
Cooking tools are everything, so be sure your knife is good and sharp. Run the knife the length of the leg (the best you can) and then cut downward into serving pieces.
ALWAYS cut at a right angle to the bone, slicing towards it (the idea being that one is slicing across the grain of the meat).
