Got to Waves of Doom before u cast click on tacklebox then click ragworm and the distance doesn't matter. My Record Is 511lbs. off this combo. If you want a big Sword fish you will need to use squid and cast 210ft, they will be hard but they can range to up to 800Lbs

when you turn the crank on a fishing reel it turns a gear which in turn spools the line back onto the reel. This brings the fish that much closer to whatever platform ou are fishing off of.

Don't use the reel to pull the fish in, the reel is for storing line and is not a winch; using your reel as a winch will shorten it's life. Use the Rod to put pressure on the fish. Lift the end of the rod to bring the fish closer and then reel the line in as you lower the rod again, always keeping the pressure as even as you can. If you are fishing in surf, time your reeling to match the pressure of the waves. In surf or fast water you can 'walk' the fish backwards and then walk forward and reel to gain line. Some fish you will have to 'play', that is, you will have to allow the fish to take line out so that you can tire them before you can boat or land them. Adjust the drag on your reel so that the fish can take line with some effort while taking into account the breaking strain of your line. When playing a fish try to keep your rod tip as high as possible so that the angle of the line puts the fish in an awkward position which will tire it faster. If the fish runs to the left angle your rod tip to the right and vice versa. If the fish jumps quickly lower your rod as the impact of the fish landing can break a taut line, then when the fish has landed quickly raise your rod tip to reassert pressure. When the fish is tired it will be easier to draw closer to the boat or bank for easier netting or landing and you will be less likely to lose it.
