pop off the carpet trim from the trunk hatch. there are three 8mm or 10mm nuts that hold the upper license plate trim containing the bulbs. the center one also holds the trunk latch. remove these and pull the whole assembly out. the bulb holder twists out. replace with a 194 bulb. use LED 194 bulb for longer life and brighter light. you can also get different colored bulbs to customize @ www.superbrightleds.com
