You need to go to a car parts store, and get a repair manual for your car. They cost about $16.00 Or, go to a Public Library.

On that advice, I went to Strauss and bought the Chilton Celebrity/Century/Ciera/6000 1982-96 Repair Manual. There's a total of 61 words dedicated to removal/installation of a serpentine belt, with absolutely no explanation of where each thing is, or how to do anything. Obviously, the manual doesn't even have a diagram of the engine compartment of any GM car with the 3.3L V6 engine (VIN code N). I'd rate this $20 manual as worthless for purposes of belt maintenance. When I find some useful tips for changing the belt on this car, I'll post here, God-willing.

Always good to have even Chilton or Haynes on hand. Find the belt tensioner. For a 3.3 liter engine, it's below the alternator. It's spring loaded, so you'll need to pull it back with one hand and slip the belt off the alternator pulley with the other. There's a 3/8 inch square hole in the body of the tensioner beside its pulley that will accept a special tool available at most auto parts stores or perhaps you can get the end of a 3/8 inch drive flex handle into it. I find it easier to use an 18 mm socket on the pulley bolt. The spring is pretty strong, so you'll need a fairly big flex handle.

Find the decal showing how to route the new belt. It may be near the front of the fender. Make sure to keep the ribs engaged on the crankshaft and other pulleys as you pull the tensioner and lift the slack up over the alternator pulley.

I like to use a 1/2 breakover bar with a 3/8 adaptor. First draw a simple map on how the belt goes over the different pulleys, then use the breakover to release the tension, pull the belt out and slowly allow the tension off then you can use both hands to replace the belt.
