How do you change gear oil on a tao tao 50cc scooter?

There is no gear oil in it. The motor oil does every thing. Use 10w-40 Oil

A safe bet is every 750 miles. It is a penny wise expense.

There are 2 schools of thought on this procedure: 1) gear oil is lifetime and never needs changing (my thoughts) and have never had a problem 2) change as often as every 50k miles.

I use castrol synthetic 10w30 or royal purple 10w30 that is only if u want to spen $10 a quart for royal purple but any synthetic oil 10w30 will work only use synthetic
