you have to tip up the lawn mower and remove a bracket from under the deck to get at the drain plug, if your Toro lawnmower is the same as mine. NOT very convenient.
Or put it on it's side (oil input side), make sure it's out fuel. Have an oil pain and tilt it or shake it to that side making sure all the oil is out. Have done it a few times. My machine is 10 to 13 years old. The starter string just broke and got it fixed as well. This are good machines.

Some mowers .. you just turn it upside down ,over a pan / plastic sheet etc ...or try a siphon , get them at Lowes etc .. after adding new oil you should ck the air filter too ..... if clogged ,replace

Depending on the model of the Craftsman lawnmower, there is either an oil plug underneath the deck of the mower which needs removed to drain the oil or the lawnmower needs tipped on it's side to allow the oil to drain out through the oil cap area. Once oil has drained you will want to refill the oil until the dipstick registers "full".
Yes 10w30 is a good oil for snowblower or lawnmower.
